"The Way" dancEnlight performanced at Chart Oak Cultural Center

*Hi Lorelei,

I meant to write you sooner after the concert. Life is so busy!....However, please know that I thought the production was wonderful, very, very exquisite. Both my husband and I loved it as we have loved all your work....
I thought the variety was amazing with a small band of dancers....and as a poet I appreciated the combination of words and dance that came about via the narrator's role.
The set and costumes were gorgeous. Many images of the dance stay with me....the sword dance and the cha-cha-cha! all in one production! I am a fan of the way of tea. It was all so special to me....and I will never forget your dance with your sister, especially the psychological communication of that moment when you do the calligraphy together. Was so moving....it sent a complex communication about cooperation and perhaps struggles between domination and autonomy, too? The tears streamed down my face!!
Brava, Lorelei. Good luck on your future endeavors. (Hope to get back to yoga soon. I've been involved in too many things--
lately, a choral singing group!)
Love, Marilyn

*"The Way" took my breath away, made me laugh and grounded me. I loved the flow and grace and could feel the dedication of your dancers and their shared sense of community. You are as beautiful as always. The moments with your sister were so special. Tea! love, Bonita

*Congratulations on such a successful evening! I was so glad I could be there! Have
wonderful remaining shows--yay! Love, Judy

*Congratulations on your production of The Way your creativity glowed throughout it, and I enjoyed it very much as did the rest of the audience. I appreciated the teaching on the tea ceremony and enjoyed the technical skill of your troop. The swirling sleeves and the fan dances looked effortless but how did everyone learn to position their sleeves so no one around them tripped? Mai was clearly in her element in the tea for two number and the pair of you as dance partners was a joy to watch. But my favorite was Ink and Sword as was Susan's. Two strong women, independent, complementary but joined in The Way. Joyce

*It was a REALLY great performance! The set was great, the attire, the music, the friendly welcome and the transparency...performers interacting with the audience. All good!

*After seeing you perform I wonder in the past ..what else can they do? It calls for an audience a 1000 time larger. Rich

*We really enjoyed your show from start to finish. You and Mai were terrific. I think we should keep her here in the states. Ray

*I went last night and I think it was the best performance thus far and you know how much I've loved everything that Lorelei and Mai have done! Judy Swings

*Dear Lorelei
Thank you so much for such an elegant and inspiring performance. Loved everything about it - music, dance, costume, lighting, text...."Way to go!!!".
As a dancer, I am inspired by you. As a friend, I am very proud of you and as a board member, I am honored to be a part of dancEnlight..

Sending my heartiest congratulations and love to all the dancers, musicians, and participants. Rachna
